The Birth of SwedeVix Skates
A long time ago in the frozen tundra we now call Sweden two babies were born. One a long child born in the middle of the country whose parents would name Swede Hurt. The other shorter child born in the very south of that same country in a land called Skåne whose parents would chose the name Vix Viking. Years later although raised apart they both were had the same thoughts and feelings that maybe there was something more outside of this great country of theirs. Swede would travel to the states and learn many things at university while Vix would go to London and start her own business renovating old homes for resale. Yet they both still yearned for something more out of life that they just have not found in their travels.
Then came roller derby! Swede playing in the states and eventually playing for Gotham City and Vix with the London Roller Girls and after moving back to her home country helping to found the Malmö Roller Girls. Swede after coming in an amizing third place at the championships in the states decided it was time to bring her skills and knowledge of the sport back to Sweden and train as well as coach the Malmö derby girls. While discussing this move one day they both decided to open skate shop so they could supply the derby teams of Europe with the proper equipment, gear and training that they thought fellow derby athletes deserved without one of the big hassles of ordering from the states.
SwedeVix Skates was started and based on the belief of "Derby Players Helping Derby Players".
